Making Space Dialogues is a programme of free public lectures that offer Athlone audiences interaction with interesting artists offering an insight into how they work, create and think. These talks aim to create a platform for critique and dialogue between emerging and established artists in the Midlands and beyond. Our second series of lectures is based on local artists either native or currently located in the Midlands. These talks aim to showcase a diverse range of practices and disciplines We will also examine how artists promote and establish their practice in a rural location. Paul Timoney lives in Westmeath where he spends most of his time making stories and drawings and things. He loves sharing his work with other people. Initially he imagined that his tales might be of interest only to children. However, it has since become apparent that his performances and shows have the capacity to amuse and enthrall individuals of all ages.
