Making Space MembersThe Making Space Collective was established in 2011 by Lorna Kincaid and Rois Ni Dhochartaigh. The collective is made up of a core group who meet weekly to develop and plan future projects. The core members are involved in researching and instigating interventions as well as administration and promotion of events. The Making Space Collective is welcome to new members and encourage others to get involved. We have a large number of associate members who participated in some of our projects depending on their interest and time available.
As a multi-disciplinary collective we benefit from the experience and knowledge each individual
brings to the group. The cross combination of creative thinkers and other disciplines results in innovative ideas and approaches to creative collaborative projects. |

Paul Quast - Artist - Core Member
Paul Quast is studing painting and combined media in Limerick School of Art and Design. His work explores how art affects the everyday world in which we live, and focuses on the roots and ideas behind the art. Pauls work challenges society’s blind corners, specifically dealing with themes such as waste disposal and consumerism’s hold on the modern zeitgeist. His current work is inspired by the waste produced by consumerism as it replaces functioning materials in exchange for newer ones. Using these discarded monetary-less artefacts, Paul aims to show that these materials can still have a value, not as a product but as an artistic comment on the way in which society tells us to live.
